Listening to the Memorial Service, January 18, 3 PM EST

We are making the audio of this service available via the telephone. The instructions for joining the conference call are below. You will be able to listen to the service but we will mute all incoming sounds (including your voices) until the “witness” portion of the service.

Halfway through the service, my brother and I will say a few words about my mother and her life. Then we will ask any in the church to add their own thoughts or stories. When they are done, we will unmute the audio from the conference call and ask if anyone on the call would like to share their thoughts or stories. Please consider participating in the service – my mother had a long, joyful and diverse life and we would love to hear more about it. Once this portion of the service is complete, we will mute the conference call audio again.

INSTRUCTIONS

- The conference call will open at 2:45 PM EST.

- Call 1-877-681-5864 (this is a toll-free call). A voice will say “Please enter your conference code now”

- If you think you may want to speak during the witness portion of the service, enter the numbers “555” as your conference code. Please note: even though the conference call audio input will be muted at the church, all of the other conference call attendees will be able to hear any voices or noises coming from your phone. While listening, either mute your phone or cover the mouthpiece to avoid disturbing the other listeners (remember to unmute your phone before speaking).

- If you do not plan on speaking and want to listen only, enter the numbers “999” as your conference code. This will flag you as a listener, and the conference call service will automatically mute your audio for the entire call.

- After 5 seconds, a voice will say “We’re connecting you to your conference”

- When the service is over, I will end the call. Please contact me if you would like a recording of the service.
